from MJ Epko on sb codes

AB1314 was the Assembly Bill number before it was voted by the legislature.
Now it is part of the California Health and Safety Code called H&S 18944

I did a phone survey of counties in December 1997 and found nine counties
had adopted H&S 18944. Many counties do not worry with adopting the code,
but they are using it to review drawings.

Thanks Pam

You're right about that and someone had corrected me on that quite a while
back. So I've not been referring to the California guidelines as AB1314 for
quite a while now, but I can never remember Calif. Health and Safety 18944...

I would love to know which counties, (no cities?) so if it's possible, could
you post that to this list? Thanks for the info. I saw a map on the CASBA
newsletter but the shading didn't copy well so I couldn't differentiate most
of the information on the map. But it looked like someone (was that you?) is
keeping track of some of this info.

Dear Mark,

thanks for your lovely message.
you remember the sokker championship in France - in kindness?? Well an
upright Frenchman sings the Marsellaise befor the game, the national song
that dates from the French revolution) and well he or she shoutes: Long
live France, well this is something as usual as eating baguettes the long
stickformed bread. Well knowing this we say instead of Vive la France:
Vive la paille, that means long live the straw. And if you might
rememuber the French newsletter is called the Premier Paille = The First
Straw, maybe with my foreign understanding: Straw First!

These jokes might be difficult to grasp as we might need some
explanations of yours...

Martin

:) But what's "Abrazos Grandes?" That's not
> French, is it?... Maybe its abra-kadabra, well abra-kadabra is a
misinterpretation of those who didn't know of the kabbalah, the Jewish
mystical path....

Pascal thanks for your response and says he is looking forward to respond
to you persanally at a few month, when he will have improved his English.
Untill than you will receive my reduced echo. Well its a great pleasure
to cooperate (keeping an eye upon each other) together whether I am her
in Brittany or in The Netherlands.
