Subject: Frank Meyer in Paris

Attn: European Members

Builder Frank Meyer of Austin, TX will be vacationing soon in Paris, and
perhaps elsewhere in France. He returned a few months ago from
coordinating construction on the first straw-bale building in China (a
school, designed by Kelly Lerner, built in a seismic zone) and his slides
are great. He'd love to share them with an audience, if there is interest
and it can be arranged on short notice. His note and email are below:

....we decided to go to Paris as we have friends there. Will be
leaving Fri (Jan 15) and returning on the 25th. Do you have any contacts for
sustainable building people in that area? I would take the China slides if I
knew there were people who wanted to see them. Any suggestions? Like i
Always said, nothing like waiting till the last minute.

Frank <thangmaker@...>

Frank,
Judy here....there are a couple of people who are not on the GSBN, and
may not receive this message unless Martin or others are right on task.
So I'm going to list them, as they don't have e-mail and you need to call
them...they would LOVE to meet you and see your slides if they can, I'm
sure. They are:

Fabien Baker
41, rue du Lieutenant Ricard
F-78400 Chatou
Paris, France
Phone: 0033-130-534410

Fabien is your kindred spirit, Frank...take my word for it...if schedules
work, he'd give you a great tour of Paris...he's an architect with a very
small "a" doing urban renewal/sustainable building planning.

Tom Rijven
Habitat Vegetal
Bio-Constructeur, Barane
F-09290 Gabre
France
Another kindred spirit...a natural builder extraordinaire
Phone:0033-561699817
fax: 0033-561697909
Tom is also coming to Arizona and San Francisco for the conference in
late Feb.

and, of course..
Pascal Thepaut
Trovoas
F-29640 Plougonven (name of village)
Brittany, France
phone/fax: 0033-298-633-095

Anyway, you two, have a ball!

Love, Judy and Matts
